My Twitter account @shoujo_city that I used for past 9 years was deactivated on March 13, presumably triggered by a long DM I sent to another person on that day. Initially I assumed it would be only a minor nuisance, but within days it turned out to be a catastrophe. Since Mr. Musk takeover, Twitter apparently doesn’t have any humans left in their tech support, and all account moderation is now handled by AI bots. My account is not banned and not in violation of any rules, it was just automatically frozen until I reset my password, so all it would take to get it back is one person from Twitter tech support spending 5 seconds of their time to send activation link to my email or mobile phone. But there isn’t that single tech support person left in Twitter offices any longer. I sent over a dozen support requests since March 13 already, and none of them was ever answered.
Since I no longer can access that account, I can’t see any comments or DMs, in case somebody still sends those. Can’t post any announcement there explaining what happened and asking people to follow a different account either. In the future I will make a new account, or maybe will start using a different social media platform.
