Cooking

A new video showing my current progress on the cooking feature. This feature will be one of key gameplay elements – every day you’ll have to cook something for your girlfriend, or take her to a cafe/restaurant (not implemented as yet), or buy her some snacks, depending on her wishes, your time and budget.

Cooking is done by combining several food ingredients, using correct kitchen utensils, and setting timers. Some ingredients are required, and some will be optional, improving the overall quality of the final product. For instance, forgetting to add rice vinegar while cooking sushi will decrease the quality by 30%. Burning food by cooking it for too long, or undercooking it, will also decrease the final quality. The food with quality below 100% still will be edible, but your girlfriend might not like it that much.

Correct recipes will be obtained by cooking something with 100% quality for the first time, and by completing various game quests. Once you learn a new recipe, it will be stored in your recipes book.

Click on “i” button in the bottom right corner. In the status window click on “backpack” button to open her inventory. You can give her snacks and drinks by dropping them on “hand” equipment slot.

What do you mean by “everything”? Using shops is pretty straight forward, e.g., to buy ice cream you just walk towards ice cream vending machine and press action button. Writing instructions for simple actions for that would be kind of silly, I think. If you meant something else, please clarify.

It is very difficult, I’m failed too many times in cooking because I don’t know what ingredients I buyed and there is no freaking names. Only price and what it looks like.

So I have a problem, I’ve been cooking for a while now, and it’s worked up until now. For some reason I can’t put more than 4 ingredients in to make something. I can’t use the next four slots, which is really bringing down my cooking. I have the ingredients and I have the right pan. I know what I’m doing but it won’t work. Do I need to upgrade my cooking skill or is this just a bug of sorts?

It’s a bug, and I can’t fix it, because the App Store currently blocks all my updates and requests to censor and delete various content from the game.

The only solution is releasing an updated version of the game. But it will be possible only if the App Store allows it. For the time being they don’t.

Hello, you’re the creator of the shoujo city right? I wanna tell you something. This game is awesome when I play it for the first time. I’m a beginner playing shoujo 1 day ago. Great simulator! Just like a real life! But there’s one more thing I hate. The foods has no names and there’s a look alike ingredients. I don’t know what is vegetable oil looks like and almost everything! Please put some name tags on it in the next update, Ty!

Some optional ingredients add % to overall quality (better nutrition). You can safely ignore them, they don’t affect much.

      1. sorry for late response, that’s a bug, yes, many people reported it. I checked the code many times, and still have no clue why it happens, complete mystery for me.
      2. there is no other salmon food.
